While the frenzy around us is a vivid reminder that this year is fast running out, we can start looking forward to the exciting opportunities 2014 will bring.
The Inland Branch committee has been planning for next year to ensure that we have a programme offering value to our members, whilst creating appropriate opportunities for information transfer and networking. At the same time we hope to grow the CSSA membership – please encourage your colleagues and friends to become part of the concrete community.
Our Branch Annual General Meeting will take place on Thursday 6th March during a break in the CHS 2014 seminar proceedings.
Following on from the success of our technical seminar in Bloemfontein earlier this year, we will be hosting another seminar in Bloemfonteinon Thursday, 13th March 2014. Bryan Perrie (The Concrete Institute), George Evans (PPC) and Johan van Wyk (SARMA) will present papers around the theme 'Essentials for Successful Concreting'.
Inland Branch members can also look forward to many more informative site visits to see concrete in action.
The Annual Concrete Boat Race will be held at a new venue which will accommodate the increasing number of entrants and spectators.
The 2014 programme can be viewed here.
Dale Carnegie once said: “People rarely succeed unless they have fun in what they are doing”. I challenge you all to have fun on your road to professional success!
