Inland Branch: Ten-Pin Bowling Challenge – September 2018

Skittles were flying abound at the recent Ten-Pin Bowling challenge, held at the “Let’s Go Bowling” centre in Centurion and organised by the Inland Branch. A total of 14 teams got together to battle out for the now prestigious concrete trophy kindly donated by Go-Consult. Teams were made up of a mixture of experienced ‘young bowlers’ who constantly scored ‘strikes’ and ‘spares’ who, in the end, took most of the prizes.

Not to be daunted, there were several ‘older’ players who gave the youngsters a run for their money and who certainly didn’t disgrace themselves. The final results are shown below and, as can be seen, the overall winners were Zander Botha and Daniel Louw from Go-Consult with a very healthy score of 529 out of a possible maximum 2-game team score of 1200! In fact, many players did very well, as according to the experts, the most likely score a bowler will achieve is 78. In fact, if you bowl over 78, you can honestly say that you are an above average bowler. So, see how many teams scored over 312.
