Sephaku Cement (Pty) Ltd
Sephaku Cement was established in 2006 and is the first new clinker producer in South Africa since 1934. Sephaku Cement, an associate company of JSE-listed Sephaku Holdings Limited, is a 64%-owned subsidiary of Dangote Cement Plc. Dangote has invested more than R1.1 billion in the venture, representing the largest investment in a South African enterprise by an African company. Sephaku Cement has developed a cement production facility at Aganang, near Lichtenburg in North West Province, which has an estimated annual production capacity of approximately 1.2 million tons. In addition, Sephaku has developed a grinding facility at Delmas in Mpumalanga, with an estimated annual capacity of 1.4 million tons of cement.
